Welcome to Feed Me Kate! I’m Kate—a mum, partner, dog lover, and all-around foodie. My love for cooking started in my mum’s kitchen and has only grown stronger over the years. After dreaming about it for ages, I finally decided to create this blog to share my passion for delicious food and favourite recipes.

Here, you’ll find mostly my own recipes, but you will also find some favourites chefs, cookbook authors, friends, and of course some family secret recipes. Think of this blog as my personal recipe library—a handy place to keep all my go-to recipes (no more flipping through cookbooks or searching for random notes!). And the best part? You get to enjoy them too.

A little about my foodie career!

I’ve always loved food and I thought about becoming a chef or a home economics teacher, but life had other plans. I started working in a test kitchen for a magazine and what was supposed to be a 2-week job turned into a 20-year career! Along the way, I became a mum, got a degree in home economics, and freelanced for other food projects. At the magazine, I did everything from recipe testing, food for photography, writing recipes for the weekly publication and becoming assistant food editor on the many cookbooks we produced!
